Shady Shakespeare's 2007 Season will perform August 10 - September 16 with the shows alternating performance evenings.

Macbeth,
directed by Karen de Leon, takes us inside the mind and soul of one of literature's most notorious villains. Macbeth is a man trapped in a nightmare he can neither control, nor escape; A nightmare of unbearable lust and bloodshed. Politics and sex intermingle to spur the ambition of an imaginative Macbeth and his power hungry bride. Set in a world where women reign, men fight, and witchcraft decides one's fate, this production will rock your expectations of this classic play and leave you wondering how far you would go for a taste of power...

The Tempest,
chronicles the life of Prospero who was supplanted by an ambitious brother from her Dukedom in Milan and stranded on a deserted island. Powerful in the art of sorcery, Prospero quickly learns to use the spirits of the enchanted island to make a comfortable life; but everything is about to change with the arrival of a ship full of villains, lovers and fools. Directed by Dinna Myers, SSTC's production will be set against the lush backdrop of the Polynesian islands; rich with authentic music, costume, and dance. We invite you to come and enjoy the magic of the isles! Aloha.
