hi! im new to san francisco and i am trying to find out where the community theaters are in the city. I've heard there are tons of them but I can't seem to find them on the internet. Looking for places I can audition for shows. Thanks for your help!

Tue, April 8, 2008 - 4:25 PMThere are several e-mail lists that have audition notices (Bay Area Theater Bums, SF 411 Auditions, bayareatheatre, BAANG). If you can't find them, let me know.
Also, Theater Bay Area puts out a monthly magazine called TBA (formerly called Callboard). Lots of notices there.
Finally, most theaters these days have their own web sites; many have their own audition notices. TBA has good listing of the active companies. And you can always pick up a newspaper, read reviews, ads, etc. and do some online research about specific companies.
And here on tribe there's several tribes about the San Francisco theater scene.
